For the last several posts on this blog I have attempted to hammer this point home: We are under attack. Our system of government that has stood for over 200 years is teetering on the edge of destruction. And while our criminal in chief continues to abuse every ounce of his considerable power, members of our Congress and our Senate seems to be sitting on their hands, watching while Washington burns to the ground. What the hell could possibly compel these gutless wonders to do their job and begin impeachment proceedings against the perpetrator of countless crimes against the nation and our republic? Even if our 45thpresident, illegitimately chosen by Russia, our worst enemy, were to “go out on 5thAvenue and shoot someone,” as he once boasted, I doubt the Republicans would do anything about it. And even then, Nancy Pelosi and her timid Democrats would still seek all of the facts before risking the start of an Impeachment Hearing.
In truth, facts are facts. As the Mueller Report made quite clear, the president has committed at least 10 and probably 12 felony acts of obstruction of justice, and he and his campaign clearly colluded with the Russian government to overthrow our own. What more facts does one need? As Representative Talib courageously said shortly after being elected in 2018, “Let’s impeach the fucker!”
In recent days, the criminal in chief essentially threatened to stop doing any of his presidential duties until House Democrats stop doing theirs by halting their congressional duty to provide oversight of the executive branch and ending all investigations looking into his numerous crimes. This is perhaps his greatest crime of all, most which have been committed in plain sight with the media held hostage and watching as it all happens. With the balls of an elephant, he pouts publicly that he will no longer do the job that he was selected to do until the Congress and everyone else in Washington become as lawless as he is. To the criminal in chief, who is essentially acting like a mob boss, only self-protection matters. In this way, he is much like a dangerous cancer whose only goal is to survive to spread further life-threatening illness. Indeed, if Nixon proved to be a “cancer on the presidency,” as John Dean elegantly foretold, our current criminal in chief has become the fastest-growing and most malignant of all cancers, not merely on the U.S. presidency, but inflicting its corrosive damage on all that it touches.
I have had a malignant tumor. I was diagnosed with melanoma in 2018. And it nearly killed me. Because of that ordeal, I can tell you that once you are diagnosed with melanoma, it is time to act. One does not wait for months or years to attend to a malignant cancer.
Someone must put an end to this malignancy and do so as soon as possible. We do not have time to wait. We need the Democratically-controlled House to act and to do so immediately. The nation requires an immediate surgery. We need to cut deep with the scalpel and remove all of the malignant melanoma wherever it has spread and do so now, not later. If we wait too long, the melanoma will have reached the bloodstream of the country and spread way beyond our control.
The evil, corruption, greed and avarice as evidenced by the criminal in chief in almost every actions he has taken in his life, both before and during his presidency, has spread its malignancy to many if not most parts of the Repugnant-Ones. Most of them have taken Russian money, too. Because they have been bought and paid for like the eager Republican whores that they are, they have sat silently by, not merely to protect their criminal president. Don’t kid yourself! They have done nothing to stand up to the corruption of this Russian cabal because they aided and abetted it. To aid abet, assist an enemy to overtake and attack our Democracy is, I believe, treason (a much overused word by our criminal president, but he usually projects his own crimes and actions onto others, so let’s take note of his use of the word.) All we need, in fact, is for our government to acknowledge that we were attacked by Russia in 2016 as surely as if they had lobbed missiles our way; the fact that these were cyber missiles, does not lessen the truth that the Republican party and its president undertook quite willingly a treasonous relationship with Russia.
This is the malignant cancer we are dealing with. If we do not surgically remove it and remove all those who have subverted or attempted to subvert our Republican Democracy, and do this very soon, we will all find ourselves kneeling before Putin—pledging allegiance to the worldwide network of oligarchs that are threatening to take over and control the entire world—before we have a chance to even catch our breath.
