Attorney General Bill Barf still has a brief amount of time in which to save his reputation and spare the country yet another scandal by simply doing the right thing and turning over the full Mueller Report to the House Judiciary Committee as Chairman Jerrold Nadler has already requested him to do.
The AG still has a choice: Release the full Mueller Report NOW, or live in infamy as the swamp creature that most Americans believe him to be already. He still has time, but only a very few days. Time is clearly running out on the AG and is not his friend any longer. Releasing a highly redacted report to Congress in the next few days, as he proposed to do, is NOT going to cut it any longer, not now that the Democrats control the House. Not now that over 70% of the American people want and demand that the full report that they paid for be released.
For nearly two years we have heard our 45thpresident declare that the Mueller Investigation was all a “witch hunt,” that he was entirely innocent. If that is the case and the president was entirely innocent of all crimes as he has consistently claimed, he and his sycophantic protectors should have no problem letting Congress and the American people see the results of Mueller’s 22-month investigation. They should want all the facts to come out, since Mueller and his team has spent nearly the last two years looking into the president and his campaign’s possible collusion with Russia as well as the many acts of obstruction of justice that the president may have committed over the last two years, many taking place out in the open while the whole world watched.
An innocent man would want all the facts out. An innocent president would INSIST on it, if only to clear his name and reputation and to make a clean path toward reelection. But ever since the Orange Monster declared, “Open it up! Let them all see the report!” when he was still professing that the Mueller Report had provided him with “total exoneration!” (Just one of his nearly 10,000 lies told as president!!!)
Now we know that the president lied about “total exoneration,” just as he has lied about nearly everything his entire life.
Over 70% of Americans believe that Bill Barf’s summary did not exonerate the president. 70% of the country believes that their president is a criminal. Period.
Now, most Americans realize that no one but Bill Barf has actually seen the Mueller Report (or for that matter, been allowed to see it), and that we only have Barf’s toady version of events, and his 3 and ½ page book summary of perhaps a 1000 page report (when one adds in all of the appendices, etc.), and that even the toad Bill Barf did not “exonerate” the president of crimes of obstruction of justice.
Now that we know all of this, as the wheels have slowly turned toward justice and away from the criminal sitting in the Oval Office, the president has changed his tune and wants none of the Mueller Report to ever see the light of day.
While Republican toadstool Bill Barf continues to act as the president’s personal attorney rather than the attorney for all of America, doing everything he can to redact, obfuscate and misrepresent Mueller’s Report to America, sitting on it the way a true toad would, even as he has inserted himself politically into a process that was supposed to be free of political influence, Mueller’s investigators—who never leaked once throughout their 22-month investigation—have begun to leak, letting their dissatisfaction with the Orange Monster’s Attorney General be publicly known.
Mueller’s team, if not Mueller himself, are, in essence, going to battle with Bill Barf, and confronting him with an implicit threat: “Give the true contents of the Mueller Report to Congress and the American people and DO IT SOON, or we will do it for you!”
In truth, Mueller’s investigators are sending the toad a warning: “More leaks will be forthcoming if you don’t set the record straight!”
As each day passes that Bill Barf continues to obfuscate, lie and dissemble for the Orange Monster in the White House, it becomes increasingly likely that the full Mueller Report, or many huge portions of it, will be dropped off at a desk at The Washington Post or The New York Times, perhaps even before Bill Barf’s heavily redacted version of the report makes its slow way up the road to Congress.
Essentially, the toad best move quickly to do the right thing, or Mueller’s team will put the Attorney General and his entire Department of Injustice out of business.
