Though Ashton usually speaks the lyrics of most of the songs of THE WILDE SPIRIT when performing the show live, as he does in the Audio Book and in the Off-Broadway Original Cast Recording on CD, as an experiment which proved very successful, Kerry sang all of the songs when he performed the show live in Provincetown, MA in 1992. This CD captures Ashton's fully-realized musical performance of each of the great songs from the show, as he performed them before a live audience in an intimate setting.

This CD is necessary and vital to those producers of THE WILDE SPIRIT, whether they be producing an amateur or a professional production of the play, who prefer to use the more economical and practical approach of utilizing the show's original Soundtrack (the one that Kerry Ashton uses himself when performing the play live).  This Soundtrack CD includes all of the musical score as well as all of the original Voice-Over performances, exactly as they were used in the Off-Broadway production, so that by utilizing this CD in playback, it is possible for one actor to perform the show completely, without hiring live musicians to play the score or using any additional actors to portray all of the Voice-Overs performances required.
