After four decades of performances from New York to Los Angeles and all across America, this critically-acclaimed and award-winning one-man play is now finally available in published form.

This 144-page published work includes the play as well as over 20 pages of production photographs taken at live performances from over the last four decades, including from the Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway productions in 1996 and 1982 respectively, but also from the record-breaking engagements in Provincetown, MA (1990-1992), Los Angeles (1977-1978), Key West (1995) and from the Las Vegas performance in 1984. The publication also includes several photographs of both Ashton and Wilde, as well as Ashton's Notes on Oscar Wilde, and  an essay by Kerry Ashton regarding his personal history with the show. Also included is an "In Memoriam" section dedicated to those who worked with the author on various aspects of the play's production and have since passed on.

Written when Kerry was only 17 and still in high school, this one-man play, his first effort as a playwright, was produced by his high school, won the State of Idaho One-Act Play Festival, and was published in 1971 by Pioneer Drama Service during his freshman year at college.

Focusing on a future world where computers, technology and the advent of all things recorded become a threat to individual rights, the play was quite prophetic for its time and remains more than relevant today.

This rare and highly regarded one-act play, both award-winning and easily produced by and for high schools or universities, is only available at this website store, and the licensing rights for production, both amateur and professional, can only be obtained on this site as well.
